The largest European event on local sustainable development
The Dunkerque 2010 conference welcomed more than 1800 participants coming from over 50 different countries to attend the largest European event dedicated to sustainable development. Over 250 elected leaders took part in this major event, next to high level representatives from the private sector, technical experts and representatives from European institutions, international organisations, research institutions and NGOs.

The Dunkerque 2010 Declarations
The two political declarations, The Dunkerque 2010 Local Sustainability Declaration and The Dunkerque 2010 Call on Climate Action, were approved by acclamation during the closing plenary on 21 May. They were presented to the high-level representatives of the Council of Europe, the Spanish EU Presidency, the European Commission.
